The Government has advised that the housing market can continue to operate. With the agreement of all parties and strictly following our COVID-19-secure procedures and assessments, market appraisals, viewings, property management and home visits will still be possible to undertake safely. Virtual viewings and personal video tours with our agents are readily available. We have learnt a lot following the first lockdown earlier in the year and since then people are reassessing their homes and lifestyles like never, which has led to one of the busiest marketplaces we have experienced.
Our teams are available via phone, video call and email to help with all your property-related needs and committed to delivering the level of service you would expect from us. The wellbeing of our teams and you, our customers, has been and continues to be our highest priority. Frequently asked questions
Can I still move home? Yes. The government has amended lockdown legislation so that moving home is allowed from 13 May 2020. Provided social distancing rules are followed, estate agents are permitted to open, viewings can be carried out and removal firms can restart operations. For further assistance and advice, please contact our dedicated Move Consultants.
Can I visit MovingCircle offices? Our offices remain open, on an appointment only basis. Please contact your local office via email or telephone to make arrangements. We are taking all necessary precautions to ensure any meetings are conducted in a safe manner, to protect your health and wellbeing. To support this, we have created the guidelines below, which we ask you to follow during the meeting, as we will do ourselves. Please also note our stated office hours may vary at this time.
Before the appointment:
If you or any of the participants feel unwell or have been experiencing Covid-19 symptoms in the last 10 days, please inform us via telephone or email and we will postpone the appointment. We will contact you to postpone for the same reason.
Please ensure that we have the names of all the meeting participants in advance. Due to seating restrictions, we will not be able to increase the number of attendees, however we have video conferencing facilities to enable additional participants if required. All relevant information will be emailed to you in advance or will be displayed on a screen to avoid sharing any physical documents. If you need to share any documents, please share them digitally prior to the meeting.
Each of our meeting rooms is being cleaned between every meeting. Your meeting has been scheduled to allow time for this to be completed.
On your arrival:
Please observe the signage in place throughout the building which is there to maintain social distancing. Where available, occupancy of lifts will be limited. We will provide guidance on arrival. We ask that you adhere to the government guidance on social distancing with everyone present at all times.
Hand sanitising gel will be available for your use. Hand washing facilities are also available. A staff member will greet you and wherever possible we will take you directly to the meeting room. We are not currently maintaining a cloakroom. We ask that you keep all belongings with you and bring them to the meeting room.
We will not shake hands on arrival. Seating has been arranged to allow everyone to adhere to the government guidance on social distancing. Please avoid moving the seats. Before serving any hot or cold beverages we will wash our hands thoroughly and/or use an anti-bacterial gel. If you would prefer to pour your own beverage, please do say so.
What if I have coronavirus or am self-isolating and I am contractually committed to move home?
You should delay your move. All parties involved should prioritise agreeing amicable arrangements to change move dates in these scenarios.

What can I expect during a market appraisal on my home? We have put in place essential protocols to ensure the safety of our clients and team members is always maintained. We have created these guidelines which we ask you to follow before and during our visit. They also explain what to expect from our team members during the visit. If you do chooseto market your property we will maintain the same arrangements for any visits by photographers, floor planners and when conducting viewings.
Before our arrival: If you feel unwell or have been experiencing Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, please inform us via telephone or email and we will rearrange our visit We would request that a maximum of two people plus ourselves are present at the visit Ensure all doors and access points are open to allow limited contact All relevant information will be emailed to you to avoid sharing any physical documents If we are meeting someone at the property other than yourself, please can you ensure these guidelines are shared with them and we are advised before our visit During the visit: Please adhere to the government guidance on social distancing with everyone present at all times We will remove our shoes on entering the property We will use antibacterial gel on arrival and put gloves and non-clinical face masks on to avoid any unnecessary contact We will not greet you with a handshake If you have pets and its possible, please could you make arrangements for them to be out of the property during our visit To uphold social distancing our visit will be as brief as possible and further discussions will be carried out over the telephone If I want a viewing to be carried out at my property, what safety precautions does the government advise that I take? You should open all internal doors and ensure surfaces, such as door handles, are cleaned after each viewing and vacate your property while viewings are taking place. Our teams will be wearing gloves and face coverings, will ensure the viewing is kept brief and that there is minimal contact with any surfaces. Looking to buy or rent What if I want to buy or rent a property? Initial viewings should be done virtually wherever possible. Owing to our commitment to keep both our colleagues and clients safe during this period of recommended isolation, we have many self-serve viewing options available to you. These include video walkthroughs, 360 virtual reality viewings and enhanced comprehensive photography. For viewings in person, we have created these guidelines which we ask you to follow before and during our viewing. They also explain what to expect from our team members during the visit.

If you feel unwell or have been experiencing Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, please inform us via telephone or email and we will postpone our visit We would request that a maximum of two people (from one household) plus ourselves are present at the visit All relevant information will be emailed to you to avoid sharing any physical documents We will not be able to provide transport to or from the viewing If we are meeting someone at the property other than yourself, please can you ensure these guidelines are shared with them and we are advised before our visit During the property viewing: Please adhere to the government guidance on social distancing with everyone present at all times If the property is not large enough to adhere to the government guidance on social distancing, we will apply a “one in one out” policy We will not greet you with a handshake We ask you to remove your shoes on entering the property We will use antibacterial gel on arrival and at the end of the visit. We will provide gloves and non-clinical face masks but if you prefer, please bring your own We ask you to not touch any surfaces inside the property or any pets present All doors to the property will be open to avoid any unnecessary contact. If you wish to have a cupboard or window opened, please ask and we will do this To uphold social distancing our visit will be as brief as possible and further discussions will be carried out over the telephone.
Who can leave their house to view a property?
Anyone that does not pose a direct risk of transmitting Covid-19 and who is not self-isolating. The government suggests that those who are shielding or vulnerable should seek medical advice and carefully consider their circumstances before going ahead with a move.
